This 3-hour workshop is based on Dr. Curtis Carlson and William Wilmot's book Innovation: The 5 Disciplines for Creating What Customer's Want and included break-out teams, analysis of the team's work, and a clear sense that everyone left smiling because there was something for every entrepreneur and innovator to gain from this amazing workshop! . SRI is well known for its legacy of innovations in communications and networks, computing, economic development and science and technology policy, education, energy and the environment, engineering systems, pharmaceuticals and health sciences, homeland security and national defense, materials and structures, and robotics. SRI is a nonprofit scientific research institute. Business Week dubbed SRI "Spin-Off City" - an innovation engine that creates new spin-off businesses to capitalize on technology developed at SRI and move it into the marketplace.Working with top-tier investment and venture capital firms, SRI and its subsidiary Sarnoff Corporation have formed about two dozen new ventures. Through "nVention", its innovative model for engaging VCs at the earliest stages of the venture creation process, SRI nurtures technology and business concepts to create funding opportunities. SRI also provides R&D resources to portfolio companies, helping startups minimize risk and the cost of building an R&D infrastructure and team. SRI can also serve as an independent technologyexpert during the due diligence process.
